Care & Maintenance

Allow Proper Cure Time

Do not use the refinished surface until the recommended cure time has passed. In most cases, this is typically 24 to 48 hours, but always follow the specific instructions provided by your technician.

Clean Gently & Regularly

Clean the surface regularly using a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft sponge or cloth. Gentle, routine cleaning helps prevent buildup and keeps the finish looking its best.

Avoid Harsh Cleaning Products

Do not use abrasive pads, steel wool, scouring powders, or harsh chemical cleaners. Products containing bleach, ammonia, acids, or other aggressive ingredients may dull or damage the refinished surface.

No Suction Cups or Adhesives

Avoid bath mats, soap dishes, organizers, or accessories that attach with suction cups or adhesives. These can pull on the coating and may cause premature damage to the refinished finish.

Prevent Standing Water

Keep the surface as dry as possible when not in use. Repair dripping faucets promptly and avoid allowing water to sit on the surface for long periods, as constant moisture can shorten the life of the finish.

Handle the Surface With Care

Avoid dropping sharp or heavy objects onto the surface. Impact damage from razors, tools, bottles, or other hard objects can chip or crack the finish and is not considered normal wear.

Best Practices for Long Term Care

  • Use only soft cloths, non-scratch sponges, or microfiber towels for cleaning.
  • Rinse away soap residue and cleaning products after use.
  • Do not use bath mats with suction cups inside refinished tubs or showers.
  • Keep shampoo bottles, soap bars, and metal cans from sitting in one place for long periods.
  • Maintain caulking around tubs, showers, sinks, and backsplashes to prevent water intrusion.
  • For countertops, use cutting boards, trivets, and hot pads to protect the finish from scratches and heat.

What to Avoid

To help preserve the refinished surface, please avoid the following:

  • Abrasive cleansers or scrubbing pads
  • Harsh chemicals, bleach, acids, or drain openers that contact the surface
  • Suction-cup mats, adhesive strips, or stick-on accessories
  • Dragging heavy objects across countertops or tub edges
  • Leaving standing water, soap, or wet containers on the surface for extended periods
